Values
- Scale
- Higher = more usable green space and better heat protection
Calculation
Usable green space and heat protection per planning area: green space provision 0.30, proximity to green spaces 0.15, bioclimate 0.20, PET heat stress 0.15, cold air influence zone 0.10, cold air flow corridor 0.10. PET counts inversely (cooler = more points). Normalised to 0–100.
- Aggregation
- LOR planning area
- Maintenance
- navigator.berlin (own calculation from Senate data)
- Update frequency
- every 5 years
Gaps in coverage
- Private gardens and courtyards do not count towards public green space provision.
- PET varies strongly at block level and is smoothed out in the LOR aggregate.
Not included
- Quality and state of maintenance of parks not included.
